Wet Weather: We are again anticipating some wet weather this week. Hopefully it won't be as bad as the predictations made by the weatherpeople-they're not all men anymore :).
Subs Shortage: Well, we continue to have a sub shortages. The priority is always given to classroom teachers at the elementary level before other positions are filled. With this in mind, please be sure that you build in back-up activities into your sub plans in case the specialist position is not filled.
Lost & Found: Please take a moment as you take your students to PE to have them look through the Lost & Found as they walk by. We are beyond the hanger capacity for both racks.
The Wanderers: Thank you for your help in assuring that students are not wandering the halls or in classroom unsupervised. There has been a big decrease in the last couple of weeks. A question that is still out there is: Can we send a student with our keys to the classroom if they are accompanied by a partner. Unfortunately, we are unable to support this due to liability issues if something were to happen. It would be seen as similar to leaving students unsupervised in the classroom...sorry.
WASL Make-Ups: We do have WASL make-up testing this week. Patti has this organized so don't hesitate to see her for details.
Picture of the week. What does WASL and recess have to do with this picture? You'll notice that Sandi and John were so conscientious about not leaving WASL testing materials unsupervised that they took them outside for recess!
