Olweus Topic of the Week: Discuss the SUCCESS concept with students. How can they go home and share what they have been successful at every day? What should they say? What kinds of successes should they report? (How can you connect the success back to the learning targets for the day?) Succeed Every Day!
MSP Testing: Testing begins this Thursday. Please keep in mind that the conference room will be used to distribute the testing materials. The snacks have been purchased and will follow the same format as last year. If you miss your planning time due to MSP testing, we have the 1:30-2:00 pm time designated as an extra recess for your students to accommodate having your planning time. Miles and Arturo will do the last double check sweep for room readiness on either Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon. Thank you for working so hard with your students all year to get them ready for this assessment. Here we go!
Volunteer Forms: If you have questions regarding whether a volunteer in your classroom has completed the volunteer paperwork, please check with Karen. Karen would rather respond to individual requests rather than circulating a list.
Student Attire: The warm weather always generates some students who dress more for the beach than for school. Please refer to the district Student Handbook for a more comprehensive listing of what attire is and is not permissible at school-we have more than enough in the office. I encourage you to be proactive in taking a few minutes to talk to students early this week about this topic.
Notable Americans Project: A friendly reminder that the Notable Americans Projects are due May 17th. These are optional for intermediate students. The information is available in the office as well as on our school website.
