Hunker Down Week: We're all looking forward to finishing strong instructionally before spring break as well as finishing up March with the biggest smiles. Don't forget that the Hunker Down planners are giving out prizes for best dressed each day!
Bus Drills: Please be sure that you have scheduled a time with Karen for the bus drills this Tuesday.
3 in 1 Model: This week is the week that we don't have direct services in speech and OT.
Box Tops for Teachers: The PTA has graciously decided to donate the funds raised by the box tops to the grade levels. So...please be sure to encourage your students to bring in as many box tops as they can. Let's make it a goal to have every cupboard in Silvercreek not have a box top in it!
Friday Spirit: We have enough students in the gym that it makes sense to start assigning a space at least by grade level. We'll have that ready to go this coming week.
End of Month Theme Day: This Friday is the last day of the month. Let's let the kids join us for Beach Day. Please do take a moment before Friday to review with students what appropriate beach attire looks like at school. FYI-Flip flops are permitted once they get here but students must bring appropriate shoes for PE.
Security: There was a parent in a South Hill school who was caught rummaging through a teacher's car this last Wednesday. It is a good reinforcement to keep our cars and classrooms secure. This means keeping valuables and purses locked away and out of sight as well as locking the classroom doors when not in the room.
Laptop Reimaging: You may not realize this but your computers were incorrectly reimaged. ITC will be correcting this problem over spring break. They will be giving us one day when this will be done. What do you need to do to prepare for this? If you have any files that are stored on your desktop, you will need to move them to the server. All computers will be cleared of anything directly on their hard drives, internet bookmarks, etc. We will be sending out an email later this week indicating what day this will be done. Laptops will then be able to be picked up so that you don't have to do without.
