No LIC Wednesday: Due to WASL testing, this Wednesday is a full day. Please verify with the paras you work with that the day will be treated like a regular full day (i.e. Monday or Tuesday). Lunch, etc. is also on a full day schedule.

Have you heard the great news...congratulations to our wonderful hardworking staff and parents. This year's Carson Golden Acorn winners are Sarah Foreman and Susannah Youngquist. This year's Outstanding Advocate Award is presented to three inviduals: Amy Connor, Darla Barkley, and Karen Howard. Way to go!!!

WASL Waffles: Although the PTA will not be running a WASL Waffle breakfast, grade levels do have the option of putting this on as a team. Don't hesitate to check in with PTA at least the day before to assure that we have enough Waffles for this event and not leave another grade level without Waffles on the day they need them.

Olweus Topic of the Week: During this time of WASL assessment, we continually reinforce with kids the need for coming to school rested, well fed, and ready for a day of learning and hard work. How does this differ from other school days? Why is coming to school ready to learn so important? How does peer pressure about socializing impact your attitude about your own school work? What work and study behaviors are necessary in order for you to succeed every day?

Copy Numbers: Our copy counts are holding in there for this second trimester. Below is an update so that people are aware of their current counts (max 15,000) and can adjust as needed for the remainder of the year:Peterson/632; Widmann/3,657; Pancake/3,747; Carlson/6,921; Benjamin/9,713; Stroud/2,818; Boedigheimer/5,967; Gendreau/7,364; Hill/4,176; Moorhead/9,438; Holway/4,050; Wall/3,043; Blount/9,410; Suarez/2,858; Dunford/7,352; Noel/3,254; Armstrong/1,675; Whitehead/2,981; McGuire/6,077; Tran/2,874; Huson/2,778; Wolslegel/2,113; Carter/9,003; Massey/262; Smith/6,612; LaBounty/2,155; Ahlers/4,163; Hua/2,796; Pisha/3,237; Heagle/6,728; Higgins/6,141; Cotton/3,154; Hart/3,344; Bergland/5,468; Dochow/9,122; Miskowitz/3,061; Mulcrone/2,279; Simon/2,783; Erdly & Gonzalez/1,553; Griffing/4,399
