Olweus Topic: Who do you look up to most in life? What traits/qualities does this individual possess that makes you want to be like him/her? What lessons have they taught you about life? What do you want others to know about you that they may not realize on first glance? How can you get to know others beyond first impressions?
Report Cards: Yes, with 4 weeks to go, the thought of report cards is looming high in everyone's mind! Arturo and Miles will be ready to start accepting report cards (rough drafts printed by Karen once you let her know all of your grades are in with or without specialist scores) beginning on June 8th. We would like all cards in for review by June 12th, however, if you need more time, please check in with your evaluator. Remember, we're flexible!
National Board "Hop Start" Meeting May 29th:
This is an important meeting for all PSD staff who are planning on going for their National Board Certification during the 2009-10 school year. We will meet in the Ballou Library from 4-5:30 pm and talk about how the cohorts will be organized and what you can do during the summer months to get yourself prepared for September and beyond. Please email Gaye Lantz and let her know you are coming. The cohorts will be organized based on the number of staff who attend May 29th and there will be limited space available for staff who might decide to join after this May meeting. Give Gaye a call at X8811 or email her if you have questions.
Summer School: Just to remind people, our district is not offering summer school as we have done in the past. Schools will be closed for energy management savings during the month of July except high schools and 2 other spaces. The only summer coursework currently being proposed is credit retrieval for secondary students. Elementary programs have been cancelled. Thanks for informing parents in case they inquire.
