Staff Poker Night: Due to conflict with Winterfest and the Santa Parade on Saturday, the staff poker night at Miles's has been moved to Saturday, December 12th starting at 7:00pm. Sign up in the staff room if attending!
Olweus Topic: Have you ever been scared to go to school because you were afraid of being bullied? What ways have you tried to change it?
Holiday Cards to Troops: We have a large number of families who are in the military. If you are interested in having your class send Holiday cards to the troops in Afghanistan please drop them off in the office by Dec. 3rd so that they can arrive on time. Thank you.
Science Fair: In each of your boxes you will find 1 student packet and 1 teacher packet (unless you told me how many kids you had that wanted to complete a science fair. If so I've added more.) The teacher packet is a guide to help you understand the requirements and the student packet is to help the child. If no students are interested in participating, I'd like to encourage you to complete a project as a class so that they have more exposure to the project (It's required for 4th and 5th.) Class projects can not be entered for judging, but I'd love to put them on display the evening of our science fair night here at Carson. Attached to the student packet you will also find a time line. The final turn-in date is a requirement, but the rest is just suggested. Students must have completed projects turned in no later than February 19th. Please contact either myself or Kim Pisha if you have any questions. ----Crystal Widmann.
Please keep in mind that the Science Fair is part of the Super Achievers Program for grades 4-6.
I hope everyone had a super Thanksgiving. Arturo commented that he ate so much he felt like a turkey. Check out those drumsticks in the staff room life size photo!
