Week of April 26-30, 2010

What Arturo and Miles were really up to last week!
Can you say ROAD TRIP!?!

KUDOS:  Thank you all for your great work during the last week. It was hard for both of us to be out at the same time, but you guys did a great job along with the students in keeping the place going like a well oiled machine. Who would've thought we would both end up with the flu at the same time (All right--keep your comments to yourself here!), but, I guess misery loves company! Needless to say, we are both excited to be back and look forward to a fantastic end to April! Thanks again for all that you do; there is no doubt that we have an OUTSTANDING staff. The compliments from our sub admin were numerous and sincere. Way to go, Coyotes!

Olweus Topic:  Primary--please practice how to line up when students come together using our new alphabetical process. Kids are still having challenges figuring how to make room and being courteous letting their classmates squeeze in. The duties would greatly appreciate some reinforcement by having you take the kids out and practice what this looks like.
Intermediate--Continue reinforcing rumor control. Information is cruising in all directions and many feelings are still getting hurt by stuff that is shooting around all over instead of being halted in its tracks and reported to an adult. Please review the necessity for stopping rumors in their tracks as we reinforce respectful behaviors for all!

Employee Evaluations:  Over the next few weeks we will be meeting with folks to complete their end of the year evaluations. It's hard to believe that things are moving by so quickly. Just a reminder that if you have any info you would like included and you have not yet submitted a feedback form, please do so promptly. We look forward to checking in with each of you soon!

MSP Assessments:  The tests are here! Our own Patti Nance has already been diving into the mountain of test booklets and getting them organized. For now they are being stored in the BLS office near the staff room. Patti is the only one with a key to this room so if you do need access for any reason, she will be the one to check with. During testing, we will expand to the conference room during the days as well.

Other District Assessments: Please be sure to have students working on the many district assessments we have going on during the early part of the testing window that way make-ups can happen if necessary. It is important to get as many kids tested as possible to allow us to have more valid data for informed decisions. Questions? Check with Patti, Miles, or Arturo.

Have a great rest of the week. Friday is Pay Day!!!
