Olweus Topic of the Week: Time to check in with personal goals for the rest of the year. We are in the crunch from April to June and it is going to cruise by way too quickly. Talk to your students about their hopes for the rest of the year. How can they make their goals attainable? Have them break up their goal into small steps forward to measure success. How can you support them in reaching their goals? How can their peers support them? How can their family and friends support them?
Diversity Committee Meeting: We've got Diversity Day as our topic. All are welcome to join us.
Commons: We've had some serious marks occur to the Commons floor the last school week of March. Melissa did a nice job of getting most of the marks off. However, the rest will require stripping and rewaxing the floor. We've had all kinds of speculations as to how the marks were made-if markings/damage occur, please let Melissa know (whether accidental or notice from non-school groups). Our challenge was trying to determine if it was an after school group or our own kids-which is actually a facilities use issue. Thanks.
Carson Promotion List: A draft was emailed out to CSIP reps. Please take a look at the categories that are identified on the form. In addition, please have a discussion of how each category might be weighted (academics, behavior, interventions). We will then be discussing it/finalizing it as a PACK team at April 16th meeting.
Carson Beautification Day: April 17th is our next Carson clean up day. It will be from 9 am-noon. Please be sure to share this in your classroom newsletters.
