I hope that the summer days exceeded everyone’s expectations. There is nothing better than beginning a new school year rested, energized, and being more excited than the kids themselves. Before we get to the work that we all know is coming, I wish to again comment on what a phenomenal staff we have at Carson Elementary School. Besides Carson being the best place for kids, I always look forward to working with such a great group of people: staff is going out of their way to welcome all the new people to the building, we have not let the room changes get the better of us, and teams have been getting together as they start to prepare specifically for writing and math. The building has just reopened and we already have people in their rooms working away and planning. Thank you to everyone for contributing to the supportive atmosphere and positive energy.

Kindergarten Academy: Please note that we will have a kindergarten academy this year. AM kinders will be in the building from 9:00-11:30 am, and PM kinders will be in the building from 12:00-2:30 pm. Each group will begin with a presentation in the commons. They will be touring the building as classroom groups, having a book read to them in the library, and will be out on the playground. Please also note that the front of the school will need to be free of cars/traffic due to a school bus being used. Parents will also be accompanying them. Please take this into consideration as you work in your classrooms.
Weekends Building Use: Please take into consideration that the church continues to use our facility on Sundays. You certainly have access to your classrooms but the church has rented the gym and commons for their use on Sundays. A custodian is always available during this time if you need assistance with something. It is usually either Scott or Missy.
