This is what it's all about!

We finally cooked up the last hot dogs!
Hungry, anyone?

KUDOS to...
  • Our office staff for keeping the lid on with all of the craziness that happens this time of year. Yes, you three are totally awesome and you know it! By the way, welcome back Laueri!
  • Grade level teams for their fantastic input on the first round of our SPI (Student Promotion Index). The results look fantastic and your input was professional and right on for putting together balanced and equitable classes for next year.
  • Sixth grade parent volunteers for putting together fantastic celebration events for our students along with an outstanding field trip to Camp Arnold!
  • The many of you who put the time and effort into writing detailed report card comments that captured student goals and progress. I know that extra work will mean a lot to the students and families as well as future teachers when reflecting back on performance growth for the year. Well done, team!
  • PTA for supporting the BMX assembly to happen at Carson. I know it was last minute, but the kids loved it!
  • Lynn for putting together another great field day with good weather forecast to accompany it!

Other Info...

  1. Student laptops are to be turned in when doing final checkout. We will bring a cart and inventory laptop and power cord together.
  2. Teachers may begin moving items over to their new classrooms the last hour of the day on Tuesday. Check in with Arturo and Miles for more info.
  3. Be sure to check in with partner teacher that you are switching rooms with. Remember, you are not responsible for moving the district furniture to the new room, although adult volunteers may help do so. It is very important that tables do NOT get dragged as the legs will snap off. Using students to move furniture is not an option.
  4. The final checkout with Miles or Arturo needs to be scheduled through Karen. Times are available Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Remember, even if you are switching rooms, you must be cleared from your current classroom. We anticipate that all moves will completed this week-see Miles or Arturo if this may be a challenge.
  5. Don't forget to review yearbook policies with your students and ensure supervised trading for signatures.
  6. We will not be holding report cards for unpaid fines this year. However, please help Amber and our office staff by having kids call home to remind parents of overdue / missing items from the classroom. This will help to minimize the impact in the office during these busy few days.
  7. We hope to see you all at Debbie's for our final staff get together! Please be sure Lynn knows you are coming so there is enough food for all to enjoy!
