Carson Staffing: If you were not present for our Friday meeting, please connect with either Andrea, Arturo, or a team member. I shared that in our current staffing for next year we will be decreasing by 1.0 FTE. I announced that I am doing a call-out for a volunteer to be transferred to another building (there is a process for that as well that I can share). If there are no volunteers then it will be a seniority based decision. In terms of building assignments, we will also be adjusting our staffing so that we have 5 sections in grade levels first through fifth. These decisions will be finalized by Tuesday, March 20th.
Kindergarten Registration: We'll be officially open from 6-7:30 pm. This year we will have a different set-up than in the past; we'll be using the foyer and office areas which will not be an ideal time to use the workroom-just a heads up. If questions, please see Karen.
Bingo Night: Set up in the commons and gym will begin after lunch. Please take this into consideration if you are anticipating using the commons or gym. We're hoping everyone will put a plug in for the bingo night to your students and in your newsletters/SWIFT sites. We're hoping for and anticipating the biggest turnout of the year!
GLAD Lab now Open: Any GLAD Tier 1 certificated teacher can come and receive additional GLAD instruction as well as utilize printer and laminators to tranform their lessons into GLAD lessons. Two GLAD trainers will be on site to offer suggestions and answer questions. The new GLAD lab is located at Firgrove Elementary in Portable 33. Teachers can come any time since the schedule will be 'open house' in nature. Call Karen Catey at X6524 if you have questions.
Karshner Museum has Limited Hours: For the remainder of the 2011-2012 school year, the museum will not be opened for visitors on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
