Janis Heigl Grade Level Meetings
Report Cards: Report have report cards completed no later than Wednesday. Report cards will go home on Monday, March 19th.
Wednesday Specialist Schedule: Please check with your specialists (Music, Library, PE) to verify your schedule for Wednesday. Due to it being a full day, your schedule may be impacted.
Bingo Baskets: Bingo baskets are due this week. We are anticipating collecting them this Wednesday. If you need another day or two please let us know. Please note that the intent is to have all the baskets in this week.
Janis Heigl: We're excited and looking forward to having Janis join us this Friday. Our goal is to personalize the meetings by making the content specific to each grade level. This has meant scheduling seven separate times. Although we have sent the schedule to Janis we have not heard from her yet. This may mean an adjustment later. For now, we have Janis scheduled back to back for day and one hour with staff which also includes transitions. We anticipate 45 to 50 minutes of actual conversation time. The schedule was designed around trying to avoid impacting specialist times as well as teacher's lunch times:

9:05-9:50 Grade 2
10:05-10:50 Kindergarten
11:05-11:50 Grade 4
12:05-12:50 Grade 3
1:05-1:50 Grade 5
2:05-2:50 Grade 6
Goodwill Donations: Please read the parent newsletter that was emailed today, Friday, to staff on the Carson Mailing list to get more details. It includes more information regarding the Goodwill donations drive that the whole district is participating in. For us as a staff, it simply includes sending a bag home on Friday, March 16th, and students returning it on Monday, March 19th. The Goodwill truck will come by Monday to pick up all the bags.
Classroom Overload: The last day for the second trimester overload will be March 19th. The official count day will be Tuesday, March 20th to determine which classrooms qualify for overload during the third trimester. The determination of hours is made through the HR department and we are allocated para time based on student active registrations on eschool plus.
