Week of November 19-23

Monday:
Tuesday:
Wednesday: Sports Day, LIC Night Conferernces Trade Day
Thursday: Thanksgiving Break, No School
Friday: Thanksgiving Break, No School; AR Trimester Ends

Sports Day: We will have a sports day this Wednesday in celebration of the sports events and rivalries happening during our Thanksgiving break. This would be one of those days when caps may be permitted to be worn inside the building, provided that they are not a disruption. This is not a day to dress up like your favorite sport (ex. soccer gear, baseball gear, karate gear, etc.).

LIC Wednesday: Wednesday is our school trade day for the October evening conferences. That means that everyone heads out after students have been dismissed.

Super Achiever Program: There will be a video that you can transfer from the Xchange file onto your computer to show students. This program is designed for students in grades 4-6. Please preview it, show it to students, and if you would like Miles or Arturo to share more info with the class directly, please let us know. The super acheiver forms are also on the exchange folder. Please note that the scoring rubric does not go home with students.

Smart Board Basics: Nina Williams will be providing a Smart Board Basics one hour course for those interested in attending. It is a refresher and is scheduled for Nov. 27th after school (please note if your grade level teaming may need to be rescheduled). The key here is that the Dec. Principal Directed day will include a higher level Smart Board training experience.

This is surely a Thanksgiving that is well deserved. Despite the curriculum and staffing challenges that have been thrown our way, our school families have greatly benefited from your hard work and dedication. Thank you. Enjoy yourself with your own families during this holiday of Thanksgiving.
