Bingo Night was a fantastic success. Thank you to everyone for their positive energy and contributions toward this family night. Everything from the basket items being collected to participating in the actual event. It was a huge success!

LIC Day: This is our switched day which means a Principal Directed Day. We have the following on our Agenda so far: Hunker Down Week w/Sarah & Daniel, March Gladness at Carson w/Rogers Students and Staff, Science Curriculum Update w/Kim Pisha, Diversity Celebration Timeline w/Carson Diversity Team, Gary Howard Book Chapters 3-4 review w/Pam Bridges, and ??
Report Cards: It's report card week. During this busy week of report card writing and re-re-and rereading please keep the following in mind (not necessarily tied to the report card):
- For students who have a SLP, verify if one of the interventions is a second trimester sit-down parent conference
- The conferences themselves are not tied to the report card so they can happen any time
- If you are possibly going to be recommending someone for retention the conversation needs to first go through the S/TAT team before the possibility of such a recommendation is discussed with a parent. A student at this level of risk should most likely warrant a sit-down parent conference every trimester
- Please keep the A.R. cut off date consistent with the building's official end date for second trimester-March 7th.
Friday Spirit: We'll, we are off and running with this program. It was a great first time turnout this last Friday. We are anticipating more students coming in this week. We will have the wall open so they can overflow into the gym. Thank you for your support ahead of time. We already anticipate having to look at some dismissal procedures. Thank you kindergarten teachers for getting us started. Let either Miles or Arturo know if you are interested in hosting!
Class Pictures: Karen has the schedule for teachers to sign up for class pictures. If you are flexible that day please put a star by yor name. There are still some group pictures for the yearbook that need to done. Please anticipate about a 5 minute play in the schedule.
Readers: Karen is still missing grade levels regarding their subscription desires for next year (Weekly Reader, Time for Kids, etc.). If you could please be sure to have that info in by the end of Monday.
Staff Bunco: It's this Friday at the Erdly Manor in the valley. The sign-up is in the staff room. Significant others and other halfs are more than welcome. If you need childcare, please check with Miles (he has very capable daughters).
