Grade Level Additions/Overload Status
I received information today that we will be adding classrooms. The finalized official info won't be out until Friday afternoon. However, I have spoken to those teachers and grade levels who most likely will be impacted. The additional classes that are added will be in the portables. It appears that at this time any additional classes will not result in hiring new staff, but rather a moving of current staff to Carson. Shifting of students and rooms is anticipated to occur at different times throughout next week. We will let you know who our new staff members are to the building as we find out. The addition of classrooms will obviously impact the number of overload hours for the building. These total hours should also be determined by tomorrow.
S/TAT
S/TAT meetings will be either Wednesday or Friday. They will be determined this week for future. Look for an email from Mark coming soon. Thanks!
Stipend Positions
If you would like to be considered for a stipend club/event/activity, please be sure to take some time to write your name down on the Stipend sign up list for events and activities posted next to the committee sign up sheet. I will be visiting with individuals as I see names on the list.
Grade Level Commitments for Writing Curriculum
You will receive in your boxes a copy of the grade level commitments for writing as was mentioned during Sandi and Stephanie's presentation. The commitments are a result of our retreat planning for the year and is intended as a guide for curriculum mapping in writing. There will be additional writing professional development for interested individuals.
District Professional Development Calendar
I encourage you to take some time to review the district professional development calendar. There are a number of classes on topics that staff have been inquiring about. Another resource is the flyers that Patti Nance has posted outside her door regarding assessment Pro Dev.
PACK Leadership
Please send Arturo any topics you would like discussed at the PACK meeting to add to the agenda. Please keep in mind that there may be some clarification of information at the CT on Wednesday.
iGoogle Help
Miles is available to help with grade level teams. Please check in with him to schedule a time to assist with any Google account or iGoogle setup. Lunch recesses are also available.
