Spirit Day Theme/ Hat & Scarf Day!

Thank you everyone for your help, support and contributions to our giving tree. This year we were able to help some very grateful families.
Staff Meeting: Our staff meeting will include the topics listed below for discussion (so far). Although the information is self explanatory, the discussion will go towards what we want to focus upon.
4 legged visitors: We again have some furry residents. One was caught this week and there are 'sign' in different parts of the building. The biggest attraction to come into the building is food. Staff should be putting food away overnight in sealed containers.
Behavior Expectations January Review: Miles and Arturo will again be doing a review of student expectations starting the first week back from break. This is essentially an identical review of what was covered in the fall. It is intended to be a review and reinforcement to what is taught and followed through by the teacher. If there are changes in the content/procedures that you would like considered please be ready to present them at the meeting.
Band and Orchestra: Both groups will again be wandering the halls during their orchestra time playing some of the tunes that they have learned so far. Times are 11:15-12:00 approx. If you have a learning activity that requires more concentration (i.e. assesments) please let band and orchestra know.
Olweus Weekly Topic: If you were to explain to a visitor what Carson is doing to try and prevent bullying, what would you say?
Food Drive: Way to go Carson! We set a goal of 2,000 items for our food drive and we have blown that out of the water in the very first week! Our grand total after Friday, Dec 12, is 2,484 items! Great job!! Please remember that the last day for items to be counted toward the classroom goals will be Thursday, December 18. Food brought in on Friday will still go to the food bank but will not be counted due to lack of time :-) A class by class update will be given after Monday's count. Thanks so much and keep up the great work!

Windows Still Fixed: Ray from Facilities stopped by today and let us know that the locks on the windows in the building are supposedly fixed by the subcontrator. Please try locking/unlocking as you would a normal window and let Karen know right away if they are not working. Thanks a whole bunch on this (again).
