Gift Makers:
Thank you to all the staff who donated so many wonderful gifts to our Puyallup Gift Makers program. Kirsten (my oldest daughter) was very overjoyed to see the level of generosity our Carson staff demonstrated with the huge pile of toys given this year. I attended for a short time on Saturday where over 500 families were given a Christmas load of gifts! What a phenomenal showing during these challenging economic times--also evident by many of our own Carson families present to take advantage of the gifts available this year.

Reading Intervention Training: This program is for the lowest students who have difficulty decoding. This is one of the training opportunities that Sandi is providing. Realizing that it is a LIC EC day, participants will be reimbursed for their time.

What do you usually do when you see bullying going on?

Fire Drill
This week's fire drill was a great success! Not only did we set a record time, but all students were accounted for and there was very little congestion, not to mention a TORRENTIAL DOWNPOUR!!! Just a reminder to turn off lights and close all doors and windows, but not to worry about locking doors. Our next drill will be unannounced, so stay alert in January!

Thank you Grandpa Smith!
Once again we wish to extend our gratitude for Grandpa Smith (Janet's dad) for the wonderful gifts of woodworking craftsmanship he continues to provide for our school. This week he gave us a beautiful black walnut presentation stand along with shelving for our resource room cupboard and many other small projects. He has been a blessing to us in so many ways and we could not be more impressed with his kindness, dedication, and wonderful craftsmanship!
