Staff Meeting: Our staff meeting has been rescheduled for the first week back. Our afternoon LIC Wedensday is currently a scheduled training. Here is what we have on the agenda from December: School Beautification Plan, College/University Banners or Flags, Attendance Incentive Idea, Paper/Copying Costs, Building Safety and Security, Moving Furniture/Care, Rats in the Building (that's right...RATS!) and what we can do about it

Vandalism: So far we have had three different windows broken since school has been out. We are only one of a number of schools in our area. This is a good reminder for all of us to assure that we are following securing our classrooms at the end of each day. This means putting laptops away, locking all doors (project rooms, double door between classrooms, and main classroom door). The size of the rocks that have been used will cause serious damage to any technology that it hits. Closing the blinds eliminates them being able to go for a target. If technology is damaged, it will most likely be an expense that the building will need to decide whether it can afford to incur.

Behavior Expectations January Review: It's time for our review of building behavior expectations. Miles and I will be helping to support this by revisiting the same presentation we gave to the students in the fall. This is intended to be a review and a reinforcement to what is being taught by the teacher. If you have change requests in procedures please let Miles or Arturo know ASAP. We start the first week back! Please schedule no more than two classrooms at a time (those who share project rooms go together) through Karen. Our ambitious intent is to have these completed the first week back.

Olweus Class Meeting:
"Would you feel like a tattletale if you told that someone was bullying you or a friend? Why or why not?"

Emergency Drills: Please note that we have two drills we will be reviewing this week. They have been moved one day later to accommodate any questions at the staff meeting. You should have a hard copy of the management expectations. If you do not, please note that they can be found on the links to right of this blog.
