Please thank PTA for providing us with the NED show!
Our students thoroughly enjoyed it and their behavior was excellent!
KUDOS to you all for ensuring their behavior was first rate!
CELEBRATIONS:
- Many thanks to the hard-working members of our PACK Team and Diversity Team. Some great planning is happening for upcoming events. Be sure to check out their BLOGS to keep up to date with all the good news!
- Let's plan a staff TGIF for this week! The old Keg by Best Buy is now open and would support a staff get together well! The fun begins at 4:00 PM. We hope to see you there!
NEWS:
- Karen begins jury duty this week so keep in mind that she may be more out than in the next couple of weeks!
- Don't forget to finish your vertical team's math priorities for each grade level and submit one form for the team by Tuesday. Your hard work will help us serve the math needs of our students so they can succeed every day!
- OLWEUS--are you maintaining your weekly meetings? Be sure to either use the school level topic or one of your own that may be more pertinent. Based upon many recent conversations with kids, there is still much confusion between the concept of 'tattling' and 'reporting' when you know someone is misbehaving. Do some role plays or have kids suggest sample scenarios and see what they think they should do in each situation.
- Writing--Arturo and Miles will be visiting with each grade level team at your team meetings over the next couple of weeks to look at our progress following the new writing outline provided by the district in August. Plan to discuss progress thus far, examples of what you are doing, and benchmarks we should be attaining by now. There are many great things happening in classrooms so let's work hard to keep up the momentum!
- Cafeteria clean up--Be sure to check floors and tables before dismissing students from the cafeteria. If your kids are being supervised by a colleague, discuss what system you can use to ensure the cafeteria is left presentable for the next classes entering for lunch. Everyone's contribution makes a difference!
