Olweus Topic of the Week: Debrief on Diversity Day. Student thoughts, impressions, feedback???
BBQ: The BBQ is this Tuesday. We made some changes based on the feedback we receieved at the staff meeting. The schedule is as follows:
9:45 am (Approx) we will call down grade levels for students to get processed by food service. This way they will simply go straight to get their food during their scheduled time. We will start with 6th grade and work our way down.
10:30-11:00 Primary Recess
11:00-12:00 BBQ
11:00 4th & 5th grade
11:05 6th grade
11:10 2nd & 3rd grade
11:15 K & 1st grade
12:00-12:30 Intermediate Recess
12:00-12:30 Intermediate Recess
2:00-2:30 Primary Recess
Considerations: Please designate an area for you to eat with your classroom. Teachers are still supervising their students during this time. Depending upon the weather we may eat outside, in your classroom or in the gym (picnic style, so no tables). The weather will also determine where our serving area will be located (TBD). Once students are done with lunch please return to your classrooms. The equipment and big toy areas are off limits during this time. We are planning on recess being outside, so please assure that students are dressed for the weather.
Track Meet: Students from the track team will be riding the bus to Sparks Stadium. Only track students and staff/volunteers are permitted to ride the bus. Parents should complete prior approvals if siblings are attending this event.
Food Drive: Our very successful food drive is over. Mrs. Melanie Imber donated all of the items for Mrs. Pisha, Mrs. Carlson, Mrs. Widmann and Mr, Huson to have rootbeer parties! Mr. Huson's class will also be participating in a stage coach ride.
Student Principal for the Day: Caitlin Kopacz won our bingo basket to be principal for the day. She'll be running the school this Friday. Please welcome her and if there are opportunities for her to help out in some way please let the office know so we can build it into her schedule.
