Olweus Topic of the Week: Final Class Meeting: Time to celebrate the great things that have happened this year. What did students like most about being at Carson this year? What would they like to see changed for next year? How can they play a part in making Carson the best school ever??

Report Cards: Just a friendly reminder that Miles and I do accept report cards before Friday. Keep in mind that with 35 classrooms, our goal is to return them by the following working day. As you work on report cards keep in mind that they serve two purposes; 1) a communication tool for parents, and 2) an academic record that can be referenced for everything from S/TAT's and SRC's to becoming court documents (Guardian Ad Litems, custody issues, social agencies, etc.).

Field Day: *The most labor-intense activity is filling water balloons, a favorite for most Carson Coyotes. If each classroom teacher could be responsible for getting 100 water balloons filled by Monday morning, June 14th, this would help immensely. You can get parents and students to assist with this (outside of academic day). Balloons will be provided for each classroom. If you are unable to help, please notify Sandra and Tracy ASAP.

*The number of field day activities is extremely dependent on the number of helpers we have. If , in your parent newsletter, you could request 2 or more parents to help with field day, this would ensure our success. We are relying on each classroom coming up with at least 2 volunteers. Please give these parent helper names to Sandra and Tracy as you receive them. Thanks so very much for your attention and consideration in this matter.

Grade Book Field Test: We have a number of Carson teachers who will be field testing the elementary grade book this coming year. If you are not part of the field test but would like to use and explore the Gradebook at your own pace, we you welcome to do do. It will be available in TAC and the information will be posted on the Documentation website after summer break.
